Collecting and sharing places with friends who travel
Interaction Design | Usability Testing
Flamyngo is a travel startup, that wants to make it easier to gather inspiration for your next trip. They do this by enabling people to collect and share places. One of the services Flamyngo offers is an iPhone app, in which you can collect places and create your own guides. Together with a colleague I worked on the interaction design and usability testing of the app.
Who do you ask for inspiration when you go on a trip? We discovered that most people go to their friends for this. You probably know someone that visited the place you're traveling to. The challenge here is to gather all the information in one place, so that you can take it with you on your trip. This is something we solve with the Flamyngo app.
Collect all your favourite places and tips from friends in your own digital city guides. Prepare your guide before you go on a trip and take it with you in offline mode. Use the offline map to figure out how to get to that one coffee shop in Berlin you really can't miss.
Fill your guides with your own favourites and ask your friends for their tips. You can easily send out a request for cool places, using the channel of your choice. Your friends will receive a link to a webpage, where all tips can be sent to your inbox in the app.
